About us

We are Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified running coaches and co-founded Run Farther & Faster in 2010 to help runners and aspiring runners of all abilities “do a little more each day than they think they possibly can.”  Our passion and experience, as coaches, competitive runners, and busy parents enable us to provide a comprehensive approach tailored to each runner’s experience, goals and lifestyle.

Group Programs

We coach several group programs year-round in the Washington, DC area for runners of all levels, ranging from beginners training for their first 5K to experienced runners aiming for a personal best at longer distances.  We have also been retained to coach workplace wellness programs for employers, including Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, and AstraZeneca/MedImmune.  To read more about our most current program, click here.

Private Coaching

Our runners who prefer coaching tailored to their own personal schedule and racing goals, or for those who do not live in the Washington, DC area, have had tremendous success with our private virtual coaching services.  We provide our virtual coaching clients with a comprehensive training program, regular communication, and race day preparation, including pacing strategy.  Past virtual coaching clients have achieved significant personal bests and several have qualified for the Boston Marathon. More information on our private coaching is available here.

Speaking and Writing

In addition to sharing our enthusiasm and advice with the runners we coach, we frequently present and write on running-related topics to groups and in local and national media.  We have been quoted in a number of publications including Runners World, The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, WTOP.com, Active Life DC, and RunWashington Magazine.  For media or speaking inquiries, click here or contact us.

Youth Programs

In addition to adults, we enjoy volunteering our time to work with children and have designed and implemented youth running programs both in the school and community center setting.
