Coach Lisa is an experienced Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified running coach and accomplished distance runner, cyclist, and multisport athlete. In November 2016, Lisa was inducted into the Bender JCC of Greater Washington’s Sports Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in Duathlon. Lisa earned a gold medal in the half marathon at the Pan American Maccabi Games in Santiago, Chile in 2003 and again twenty years later in 2023 at the Pan American Maccabi Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was named the 2015 Masters (40 and over) Female Runner of the Year by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club and was the Open (Under 40) Female Runner of the Year in 2010.  Coach Lisa is a top ranked age group runner in the DC Metropolitan area and has raced as an elite athlete at the ING New York City Marathon and the Suntrust National Marathon.  She has completed over 40 marathons and is a 20-time Boston Marathon finisher. Lisa was a member of Team USA (2012 World Duathlon Long Course Championships, Zofingen, Switzerland and 2010 World Duathlon Short Course Championships, Edinburgh, Scotland) and has received USA Triathlon All American Honors in Duathlon, most recently in 2019. She placed 15th woman overall and 2nd in her age group at the 2012 Long Course Duathlon World Championships in Zofingen, Switzerland.  Lisa is on the Board of Rock Creek Velo, a local youth cycling team, and enjoys training and racing as part of the team along with her three kids and their coaches and teammates.  

Along with top runner, certified coach and Best Running Friend (BRF) Julie Sapper, Lisa co-founded Run Farther & Faster in 2010 and over the past decade has coached adult and youth runners of all levels of fitness, in group settings and individually.  Lisa particularly enjoys working with new runners and helping others discover the benefits and rewards of running. Lisa is a graduate of Emory University and Duke University School of Law.
